Your operating system (Big Sur) requires an update to keep your machine secure.
Please go to the Apple Menu, select System Preferences and then select Software Update.
You will likely be encouraged to update to Monterey, Apple's newest operating system, but we don't want you to do that! Please click the "more info" link under "Other updates are available" and run any that you see there.
Note that OS updates in Big Sur are notoriously flakey. Your software update screen may spin for minutes and either tell you there are no updates or never cease spinning. If this happens, please restart your computer and try again.
